Southwest University’s President Ben Arriola inaugurated the extension of the Cervantes Institute, accompanied by the Institute’s Director, Luis García Montero, and the Spanish Ambassador to the United States, Santiago Cabanas at Southwest University’s Campus in El Paso.
It’s an incredible honor to bring this program to the borderland focusing on two different areas. Spanish for the medical profession and Spanish for military individuals who are coming to Fort Bliss. In most hospitals and clinics, the Spanish language is needed to be able to communicate with patients.
We’re very excited and proud to bring more culture for our community to be able to immerse themselves in Institutes like Instituto Cervantes. A true benefit for El Pasoans.
