Associate of Applied Science in Business Management and Accounting Systems
60 Week Program
This program is designed to prepare students seeking employment in business management and managerial levels of accounting.
Students will receive instruction to gain mastery of the principles, methods, and procedures of accounting, students will gain a broad understanding and appreciation for other elements of management such as finance, communications, economics, and business law.
Graduates will understand the systems and procedures of organizing and planning office work, monitoring employee performance, and exercising leadership skills that make the modern employer-employee relationship a pleasant, rewarding, and successful experience.
This program will help prepare graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills for employment opportunities in entry-level management positions, such as: cost clerks, supervisors, office managers, marketing representatives, etc.
- Students will be able to recognize financial accounting principles to be applied in different situations.
- Students will communicate professionally in a business setting.
- Students will be able to use business professional software.
- Students will recognize legal and ethical principles in business.
- Students will be able to identify key business theories and concepts related to management.
Students will have the opportunity to sit for the following certification exams:
- QuickBooks Certification
- Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate
- Adobe Certified Associate in Visual Design (Adobe Photoshop CC)
