An Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology prepares individuals for a career in the health care industry as Medical Laboratory Technicians.
These laboratory professionals assist in the coordination of clinical laboratory activities, including timely and cost-effective testing of patient samples and lab equipment maintenance.
Students will also learn the integration of lab regulations and compliance, as well as the incorporation of quality management systems in the clinical laboratory.
This program will help prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills for employment opportunities in entry-level positions at hospitals, long-term facilities, public health agencies, outpatient facilities, doctor’s offices, private clinical laboratories, and many other employment settings related to the medical laboratory field.
