This Technology Privacy Policy describes the personal information that Southwest University at El Paso (“SU”) collects through our Website and its interest forms accessed through southwestuniversity.edu and how we use that information. Please note that this Privacy Policy applies solely to our online information-gathering and dissemination practices in connection with the SU Website and the interest forms completed within this webpage.

SU may collect the following information about users:

  • Personal information: Certain services, such as the Request Information Form, to which you may gain access through the SU Website, may require you to provide personally identifiable information. SU may utilize such personally identifiable information to respond to your inquiries. Furthermore, SU may request to send you information about the program(s) requested and information pertaining to the university.

We may use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • communication directly related to events such as: registration reminders, deadlines, or other important information
  • Adjusting the SU Website and Systems to user needs and improving our service and for the customer service assistance needed to prospective students;
  • Generating data and reports about the usage of the SU Website and Systems and its content;

Admissions Texting Policy

SMS text messaging is an effective channel of communication that SU provides to current and prospective students. Students who have opted in to this service will receive communication directly related to events such as registration reminders, deadlines, or other important information that may be considered critical and/or time-sensitive.

You may receive periodic texts. By completing the information process, you are acknowledging that you consent to this Policy.

All mobile information you share with SU will remain confidential and will only be used by SU representatives. SU and its respective staff do not share phone numbers with external sources.

SU does not charge you for sending information via text messages. However, standard text messaging rates from your wireless carrier still apply. Check with your mobile operator for details on receiving text messages (SMS).

  • Sprint
  • AT&T
  • T-Mobile ‘T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages’ (recommended to place below the supported carriers list.
